Fabric Upholstery Cleaning
Step-by-Step Detailed Review of The Process
Step 1: Prep & Pre-inspection
We will use clean absorbent drop cloths under and around the furniture to be cleaned to protect surrounding floor coverings and contents. Identify spots and stains if at all possible so we can better treat those areas. Take some time to look carefully prior to our arrival so we can properly address these areas. Our certified technician will ask you to point out the areas of concern/staining which require more attention.
Step 2: Pre-Vacuum
All textiles should be vacuumed thoroughly before cleaning. This step will remove dry soils and any loose particles from cracks and crevices.
Step 3: Pre-spray
Depending on your upholstery, a special solution specifically designed for your fabric type and the soiling condition will be applied to dissolve and suspend (emulsify) for hot water extraction.
Step 4: Pre-spot
Whenever necessary, specially formulated spotting detergents will be used for focused problem areas.
Step 5: Pre-Groom
The fabric will be gently groomed using soft upholstery brushes and microfiber cloths to help loosen the soil.
Step 6: Warm Water Extraction
Our certified technicians carefully clean your upholstered fabrics with attention to moisture control, amount of vacuum, and heat to deliver the best cleaning experience possible. We neutralize as we clean using low-pH fiber rinses, leaving your furniture virtually residue free. This is all delivered by our own filtered, conditioned, fresh water source. Our goal, as always, is moisture recovery — extra time is spent to remove as much moisture as possible, equating to ultra-fast dry times.
Step 7: Groom & Power Dry
We gently massage the upholstery with soft brushes and clean absorbent cloths that help to aid in drying. High-speed air movers are then used to force-dry the furniture. The helps prevent re-occurring wick-backs, and also rapidly decreases drying time.
Step 8: Fabric Protection (optional)
Fabric protectors – a very beneficial service – can now be properly re-applied. Over time, friction (movement across fibers, sitting down, getting up, and routine cleaning) removes factory-applied protection making it important to re-apply. This is especially critical in areas where the head rests, the hands lay, the backside sits, and where the feet kick. We apply the PROPER amount, rather than just misting your upholstery as some of our competitors may do. It’s your investment and we want to give you exactly what you pay for.
Step 9: Post-Cleaning Inspection
Our certified technician will guide you through the cleaned areas for your approval before we pack up our tools. We will re-clean any areas of concern. As always, WE aren’t happy unless YOU are happy!
